Placements24 is seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver to operate from our Centurion, Gauteng depot. You will manage long-haul routes, ensure safe loading/unloading, and maintain meticulous trip records for bulk materials across industrial sites.

The role requires a Code 14 CDL with PDP, 7+ years of HGV experience, and a strong focus on safety and compliance. Expect a competitive package with career stability and driver training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Code 14 CDL with PDP required.
• 7+ years HGV experience, bulk/hazardous materials preferred.
• Impeccable driving record with no major accidents or violations.
• Strong route planning and GPS navigation skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with loading/unloading when needed.

Responsabilités

• Operate HGVs including articulated lorries and tankers to transport bulk goods.
• Plan long-haul routes to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate travel records (mileage, fuel, deliveries, incidents).
• Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and delays.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report defects promptly.
• Operate attached equipment (e.g., tipping mechanisms) as required.
• Uphold company safety policies and professionalism in all interactions.
