Job summary

You will develop technical standards, lead disciplinary research, and engage in national and international forums, reporting to Grid Code Management within the System Operator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with NQF 8 credits.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in power systems environment.
• ECSA as a Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Asset integration in line with grid code distribution codes requirements.
• Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
• Strategic and technical leadership.
• Plan and control discipline specific research into new technologies.
• Participate in national and international forums.
