Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a seasoned engineer to provide planned and unplanned O&M engineering support within the Strategic Grid Planning (Technical Support) team at Megawatt Park, Sunninghill.

The role requires 4 years of engineering maintenance experience, a BSc/BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and ECSA professional registration. This permanent, on-site position offers market-related remuneration and active participation in national/international technical forums.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in Engineering Maintenance.
• Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a professional engineer.
• BSc/BEng Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at NQF8 with 480 credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and unplanned O&M engineering support.
• Provide a technical consulting and investigation service.
• Develop discipline-specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
• Develop discipline-specific vision, strategy and direction setting.
• Provide input into and conduct research.
• Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums.
• Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
• Provide professional discipline specific technical leadership.
