Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect (Google Cloud) to lead enterprise-scale cloud architectures for South Africa and MENASA regions. You will design secure, scalable platforms, drive IaC, and guide migrations while partnering with sales, engineering and security teams.

Responsibilities include governance, transformation roadmaps, and client engagements. Strong Google Cloud expertise and certifications are essential for this senior role, with hybrid work arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure/cloud architecture, with at least 4 years on Google Cloud.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (required or strongly preferred).
• Deep expertise across Google Cloud services (VPC, GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, IAM, Monitoring, DNS).
• Hands-on IaC experience using Terraform and Google Cloud automation tools.
• Strong DevOps, Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and governance of enterprise Google Cloud solutions.
• Partner with sales and clients to develop cloud strategies and transformation roadmaps.
• Design highly available, secure, scalable cloud platforms following best practices.
• Define target-state architectures: networking, security, identity, observability, DR.
• Drive IaC, automation, and platform engineering; mentor staff.
• Support pre-sales, solution design, migration and modernization initiatives.
• Present technical solutions to executive, business, and technical audiences.
• Ensure governance, security controls, and FinOps are applied across deployments.
