The role requires a Master’s in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering with 8+ years of experience and proficiency in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and FLAC. PR Eng is a plus; remote collaboration and strong reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with PLAXIS, GeoStudio and FLAC.
• PR Eng registration or eligibility is a plus.
• Strong report writing and remote collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and interpret comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, soil and rock sampling, and in-situ testing.
• Perform detailed analyses of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, groundwater flow, and slope stability.
• Design and specify foundations (shallow and deep), retaining structures, and other earthworks.
• Prepare high-quality geotechnical reports, including findings, analyses, and recommendations.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders to communicate technical information.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant geotechnical codes, standards, and best practices.
• Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and simulation purposes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new geotechnical techniques and methodologies.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively within a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong proficiency in geotechnical software packages (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, FLAC).
• In-depth understanding of soil and rock behavior, site investigation techniques, and foundation engineering principles.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration or eligibility is a plus.
