Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related earth science.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in exploration geology, preferably in mining.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software such as Leapfrog or Vulcan.
- Strong understanding of deposit types, mineralogy, and structural geology.
- Experience with geophysical surveys and drilling programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geological mapping, sampling, and analysis to delineate ore bodies.
- Develop exploration programs, including core logging and geochemical surveys.
- Create geological models and resource estimates using specialized software.
- Collaborate with mine engineers to optimize extraction plans and reduce risks.
- Prepare geological reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
- Mentor junior geologists and technicians within the department.
