About the Role

Our client, a prominent resource exploration company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to lead geological investigations for both mining and energy prospects in the Upington, Northern Cape region. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in subsurface analysis, resource estimation, and geological modeling, particularly in areas relevant to both mineral deposits and potential energy resources (e.g., geothermal, critical minerals for energy storage). You will be responsible for planning and executing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and contributing to strategic resource development decisions. The position demands strong fieldwork capabilities, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to manage junior geologists and technical teams. This role is field-intensive, requiring regular travel and time spent at exploration sites in and around Upington.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute geological exploration programs for mineral and energy resources.
• Conduct detailed field mapping, sampling, and geological surveys.
