Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Geography Educator to join our Kimberley-based faculty. The role focuses on teaching geography to secondary students, designing compelling curricula, and guiding fieldwork opportunities to deepen spatial literacy and awareness of global issues.

You will lead engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with a supportive team to maintain high educational standards and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field.
• Relevant teaching qualification and certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching geography at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, theories, and current global issues.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging geography curriculum for secondary school students, covering physical and human geography.
• Design and implement effective teaching strategies, including the use of maps, data analysis, and case studies.
• Foster students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to geographical phenomena.
• Organize and supervise educational excursions or fieldwork where appropriate.
• Assess student progress through various methods, providing timely feedback and support.
