The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional game design, strong design documentation skills, and hands-on experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in game design, with a strong focus on systems and mechanics.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping at least one commercially successful title.
• Excellent understanding of core game design principles and player psychology.
• Proficiency in creating detailed design documentation.
• Experience with scripting languages or game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
• Passion for games and a deep understanding of what makes them engaging.

Responsibilities

• Design and document complex game systems, including combat, progression, economy, and AI behaviors.
• Prototype new gameplay mechanics and systems to test feasibility and fun factor.
• Collaborate closely with programmers to implement and refine game systems.
• Work with artists and other designers to ensure systems integrate seamlessly with the overall game vision.
• Iterate on game systems based on internal feedback, playtesting, and market analysis.
• Create clear and concise design documentation for all aspects of assigned systems.
