Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or development.
• Proven track record of securing major gifts and grants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; persuasive proposals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan for George, Western Cape.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Write grant proposals and reports for diverse funding sources.
• Organize fundraising events including galas and donor appreciation activities.
• Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective donors; ensure ongoing support.
• Develop donor stewardship strategies to improve engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with marketing/communications to create fundraising collateral and campaigns.
• Monitor fundraising progress and report to senior management and the board.
• Stay informed on philanthropy trends and non-profit fundraising best practices.
