Jobgether seeks a Senior Fullstack Developer (m/w/d) based in South Africa to lead backend and frontend work around Claude Code AI tooling. You will build robust TypeScript/Node.js services, secure auth with Firebase and JWT, and develop cloud-based integrations in Firebase and GCP.

Qualifications

• AI-assisted software development experience, preferably with Claude Code.
• Advanced TypeScript skills for backend development.
• Strong Node.js and Express experience for server-side apps.
• Hands-on Firebase and Google Cloud Platform usage.
• Deep REST API design knowledge (HTTP, status codes, error handling).
• OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication with Firebase.
• GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines for Firebase Functions.
• Stripe and Twilio integrations experience.
• Frontend familiarity with SvelteKit 2, Svelte 5, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS.
• Understanding of responsive design and modern frontend practices.
• Strong problem-solving and maintainable code
• Independent contributor with ownership mindset; willing to plan long-term tech roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role to prepare platform for launch and ensure stability post-launch.
• Finalize key product features for initial marketplace launch.
• Establish reliable deployment, maintenance, and improvement processes.
• Promote engineering best practices: clean code, architecture, testing.
• Leverage Claude Code and AI tools to accelerate implementation.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs.
• Build and manage Firebase/GCP cloud-based solutions.
• Implement secure authentication (Firebase, OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines for Firebase Functions.
• Integrate Stripe and Twilio services.
• Support frontend improvements using SvelteKit/Svelte/TS/Tailwind.
• Benchmark IT infra and contribute to technical roadmap.
• Troubleshoot, improve reliability, and optimize post-launch operations.
• Collaborate across product/tech to own deliverables.
