Job summary

IGrow Wealth Investments in Cape Town seeks a Software Developer to design, build and maintain features across the full technology stack. The role spans React/TypeScript frontend, Node.js/Express backend, and PostgreSQL database work, taking ownership of features from specification through production deployment.

Having grown beyond junior responsibilities, you will contribute to technical decisions, handle deployments via CI/CD, and integrate services such as PayFast and transactional email

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building production web apps across the full stack.
• Git-based collaboration experience.
• Experience with secure REST APIs, payments integrations, and web security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to own features from concept to deployment independently.
• Experience with React/TypeScript frontend and Node.js/Express backend.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into production-ready frontend features.
• Design, build, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable, maintainable components shared across features.
• Convert UI/UX designs into polished interfaces with consistent visuals.
• Implement architecture, state management, routing, data fetching, and forms.
• Build complex forms, validation, and multi-step workflows.
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs, including authentication, payments, and notifications.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and data structures.
• Write tests and participate in CI/CD deployments.
• Diagnose defects and refactor to reduce technical debt.
