Placements24 is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Durban team. You will design, build, and deploy scalable backend services with Node.js while crafting responsive frontend interfaces using React.js.

The role involves working with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, implementing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in full-stack development, strong RESTful API design skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience in full-stack roles.
• Proven backend experience with Node.js.
• Frontend experience with React.js.
• Strong database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes is desirable.
• Proficiency with Git and RESTful API design.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build responsive UIs with React.js.
• Work with PostgreSQL or MongoDB including schema design.
• Integrate frontend and backend for seamless data flow.
• Implement cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
