Placements24 is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join a dynamic Stellenbosch-based team. The role combines in-office collaboration with remote work, focusing on building scalable, performant web applications using React on the front end and Node.js on the back end.

You will design, develop, and deploy both front-end and back-end components, collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions while staying current with industry best

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with React.js and its ecosystem.
• Proven experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in hybrid remote/on-site work models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using React.
• Build and optimize scalable back-end services and APIs with Node.js/Express.js.
• Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) to support functionality.
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into code.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code for full-stack.
• Implement and manage automated testing (unit, integration, e2e).
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection.
• Stay updated with trends and best practices in full-stack development.
