Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable financial applications. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, and involves both front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks.

You will implement RESTful services, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines, work with SQL/NoSQL databases, and mentor junior developers in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/HTML/CSS, React/Angular/Vue.js.
• Strong back-end experience with Node.js/Java/Spring or Python/Django.
• Experience designing & consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid databases knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB).
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable web applications using modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX to translate wireframes into functional interfaces.
• Write clean, documented, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade existing systems; optimize data storage and retrieval.
