Paystack invites a senior full‑stack engineer to own robust back‑end and front‑end applications that expose data and features to internal and external users. These systems must handle large data sets with high performance and reliability.

You’ll collaborate with engineers to design scalable systems for South Africa’s top brands, drive architecture decisions, review code, and ensure smooth integration with other services while supporting merchants and customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive programming experience in at least one major language (JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/C#/Python).
• Experience with large, distributed systems and SQL databases.
• Strong testing (unit/integration) practices.
• Clear communication for remote collaboration.
• Ownership mindset and passion for building African-focused products.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust platform solutions for scalability, efficiency and reliability.
• Drive product innovation and design technical solutions to fulfill product vision.
• Address complex technical challenges to improve performance and reliability.
• Refine platform architecture and integrate with other systems seamlessly.
