Job summary

Accso is seeking a skilled software engineer to work on frontend and backend projects for German and South African clients in Cape Town. You will design, develop and review high-quality Java and React solutions, applying AI agent-based development practices and contributing to CI/CD standards.

Job description

What to expect:

You solve challenging software engineering problems in a wide variety of projects for well-known, large German and South African clients. You develop high performing frontend and backend solution using primarily Java and React. You design, develop and implement robust software solutions by applying AI agent- based development methods and tools throughout the software development process. You write well-designed, testable, efficient and readable code that meets both internal and customer standards, and you deliver software that is thoroughly tested and debugged. You contribute to code reviews, performance tuning and CI/CD practices, and help raise the team's engineering standards. You review and validate AI-generated code with a critical eye-understanding failure modes, common hallucinations, and quality indicators You can find example projects and customer stories under Success-Stories

Your profile:

You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline. You have at least 5 years of experience in professional software development, including hands-on experience with Java and React. You enjoy working with agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking. You are proactive, pragmatic and team-oriented, with strong collaboration and communication skills and a drive for continual improvement.
