Placements24 is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join our client’s team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will build and optimize high-quality, responsive frontend code for cutting-edge e-commerce platforms, translating complex designs into engaging user interfaces.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver features, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and drive performance across devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional frontend development experience, with e-commerce focus.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
• Familiarity with frontend build tools and Git.

Requirements

• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, Gulp) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with backend integration and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills within the Paarl development context.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
