The ideal candidate has 6+ years of front-end experience, expert JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 skills, and a passion for performance, UX, and maintainable code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Significant experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience in an agile development environment.
• Experience working in the Cape Town tech scene is advantageous.
