Placements24 is seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to head frontend development efforts in Cape Town. You will architect robust frontend solutions, mentor a team of developers, and collaborate with backend, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web applications.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js, strong performance optimization skills, and a passion for great user experiences in a hybrid or remote-capable setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Proven experience leading frontend teams or projects.
• Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Deep expertise in React or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience working remotely or in a hybrid model is a plus.
