Job summary

Strong leadership, communication, and quick decision-making are essential for high-pressure operations. The position requires 3+ years in fleet control within transport/logistics, plus experience with telematics and TMS.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Significant experience in Fleet Control within Transport/Logistics.
• Experience with side-tip or PBS truck operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fleet operations for 15–25 trucks.
• Plan and monitor routes, deliveries, and productivity.
• Allocate work to drivers and monitor performance.
• Manage fuel usage and fleet efficiency.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure fleet compliance with laws, safety and company requirements.
• Monitor driver behaviour and enforce policies.
• Investigate incidents and resolve operational challenges.
• Use Transport Management System (TMS) to coordinate activities.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
