Job summary

Bridgestone EMEA Brits Manufacturing Plant seeks a Fitter to ensure continuous machine availability and perform set-ups, planned maintenance, daily walkthroughs and morning inspections. You will check lubrication, leaks and wear, and apply 5S standards to the workplace.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance of rotation machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics is required. Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers, strict safety practices, and supporting

Qualifications

• Qualified fitter with minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical field on rotation machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Do machine set ups and planned maintenance.
• Daily walkthrough inspections.
• Morning inspections of plant to make running adjustments and check for lubrication and leaks.
• Apply 5S principles.
• Must be able to make use of measuring equipment e.g. micrometer, vernier etc.
