Job summary

Profile Personnel in Stutterheim seeks a skilled Fitter to perform cost-effective mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment. Candidates must have a Matric / NTC 3, completed trade test with Red Seal, and a minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in manufacturing or sawmilling. The role includes training apprentices and ensuring compliance with safety standards while maintaining equipment.

Prospective applicants should possess excellent communication skills in English and have a Code EB license with transport.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in sawmilling.
• Experience in servicing and installing hydraulics, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Ability to work overtime and standby duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on plant and machinery.
• Assist in on-the-job training of apprentices and semi-skilled artisans.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards in the workplace.
