Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Manager for a multinational insurance services client based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The role oversees a small team and delivers financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial support.

Candidates must be CA(SA) with at least 5 years in financial management within the insurance industry. Strong Excel, Pastel, and Google Sheets skills, plus excellent communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• CA (SA) qualification essential with 5 years experience in a financial management role.

• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills.
• Analytical thinker with clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead a small team (6-8 staff).

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Review financial statements
2. Ability to consult and liaise with auditors
3. Superior technical report writing skills
4. Vast stakeholder engagement
5. Management of a small team within the business of 6-8 heads

Skills & Experience:

1. Previous/current insurance industry experience
2. Pastel & Advanced Excel are very beneficial
3. Resiliency – a person who possesses a strong work ethic and is adept at working with a timeline and leading by example
4. Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of some of the more complex clients
5. Includes managing the financial budget, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis and strategic support
6. Responsible for creating and managing financial models and providing financial guidance and support to the management team
7. Excellent knowledge of financial management and budgeting
8. Advanced Google Sheets skills and experience in financial modeling
9. Skilled in financial reporting and analysis
10. Strong organizational and analytical skills
11. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualification:

CA (SA) qualification essential with 5 years experience in a financial management role.

Package & Remuneration
