Job summary

Absolute Pets is expanding its finance team and seeks a candidate with 2-4 years in financial accounting to ensure accurate recording, reporting and analysis of transactions. The role covers rental management, debtor management, voucher reconciliation and month-end close, partnering with multiple departments to support operations.

Responsibilities include processing leases, reconciling schedules, managing debtors and generating management reports.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience in a financial accounting role.
• Degree in Financial Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with focus on Excel.
• Effective communication skills; strong organisational and time management.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review rental schedules and supporting documentation against rental invoices and lease agreements.
• Perform reconciliations against the Property Lease Schedule.
• Analyse utilities charges, liaising with landlords to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare the monthly lease smoothing provision adjustment workbook.
• Process property rental and utilities through the accounting system.
