Placements24 is seeking a Senior Facilities Hygiene Specialist in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role combines hands-on cleaning expertise with supervisory responsibilities to maintain impeccable hygiene, sanitation, and safety across facilities.

You will lead a team of cleaning staff, implement comprehensive hygiene programs, conduct inspections, and collaborate with other departments to minimize operational disruption while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or senior role in cleaning/sanitation.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.
• Experience in developing hygiene management systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with cleaning management software.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in facilities management.

Responsibilities
