Placements24 is seeking a Senior Facilities Cleaner in Midrand, Gauteng to lead cleaning operations, train junior staff, and maintain high sanitation standards. You will oversee daily duties, develop schedules, manage supplies, and ensure health and safety compliance in a professional environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in a supervisory cleaning role, strong communication in English, and the stamina to perform demanding tasks. A background check is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory or senior role within a commercial or facilities management setting.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and their safe use.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to cleaning and sanitation.
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning across offices, common areas, restrooms, and kitchens.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules for comprehensive coverage and efficiency.
• Train and supervise junior cleaning staff with guidance on best practices and safety.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure stock and storage.
• Conduct regular inspections to address cleaning deficiencies or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies.
• Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with staff and visitors in Midrand facility.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as industrial vacuums, polishers, and pressure washers.
• Report facility issues or repair needs to management.
