About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in mineral resource exploration, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Exploration Geophysicist to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves the planning, execution, and interpretation of geophysical surveys to identify and delineate potential mineral deposits. As a key member of our virtual exploration division, you will utilize advanced geophysical techniques and cutting-edge software to analyze large datasets, contributing directly to our ongoing success in discovering valuable resources. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in exploration geophysics, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment. You will collaborate with a geographically dispersed team of geologists, geochemists, and other specialists, playing a crucial part in shaping our exploration strategies. This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your expertise to challenging projects without the need for relocation, benefiting from a fully remote setup that prioritizes work-life balance and global collaboration within the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and execute geophysical exploration programs (seismic, magnetic, gravity, IP, EM, etc.).
• Process and interpret geophysical data to generate prospectivity maps and identify targets for drilling.
• Integrate geophysical data with geological and geochemical information for comprehensive prospect evaluation.
• Develop and apply advanced inversion and modeling techniques for geophysical datasets.
• Manage relationships with geophysical contractors and ensure quality control of acquired data.
• Prepare detailed geophysical reports, interpretations, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Stay current with new geophysical technologies, methodologies, and software.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geophysicists and exploration personnel.
