Placements24 seeks a Senior Event Manager to lead experiential marketing campaigns across Kimberley and surrounding regions. You will conceptualize, plan, and execute high-impact brand events from ideation to post-event analysis.

The role demands strong project management, vendor negotiation, budgeting, and on-site leadership, delivering flawless events under pressure for a diverse client base in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in event management with experiential marketing or brand activations.
• Proven track record planning and executing complex events end-to-end.
• Excellent project management, with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Outstanding organizational and detail-oriented abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by events.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, plan, and manage a diverse portfolio of experiential events aligned with client objectives.
• Develop proposals, budgets, timelines, and manage them effectively.
• Source, negotiate with, and manage vendor relationships (venues, catering, AV, entertainment).
• Oversee all logistical aspects: setup, staffing, registration, teardown.
• Ensure events meet high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and provide KPI-based reports.
• Manage crises and troubleshoot issues during live events.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovative event technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
