Aurex is seeking an experienced Estimator – Overhead Lines to support the delivery of transmission and distribution projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for overhead line works, reviewing tender documents, and developing pricing schedules to strengthen competitive bids.

You will analyse designs, route information, and technical specs, interact with engineering and construction teams, and contribute to value engineering and risk reviews during tender phases.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years estimating experience within the electrical, power, transmission, distribution, or construction industry.
• Proven experience estimating overhead line projects, including transmission and distribution networks.
• Strong understanding of EPC, construction, and project costing principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, line profiles, route plans, and technical specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for overhead transmission and distribution line projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope requirements.
• Develop accurate labour, plant, material, subcontractor, and equipment cost estimates.
• Compile pricing schedules and commercial submissions.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records.
• Analyse project designs, route information, and technical specifications.
• Identify scope risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities.
• Liaise with engineering and construction teams to validate project requirements.
• Support value engineering initiatives during the tender phase.
• Conduct commercial reviews and tender risk assessments.
• Assist in developing bid strategies to improve competitiveness and profitability.
• Prepare tender qualifications, assumptions, and clarifications.
• Evaluate project risks and pricing contingencies.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare pricing, technical compliance, and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Prepare tender summaries, cost breakdowns, and management reports.
• Participate in tender adjudication meetings.
• Support contract negotiations and client clarification meetings.
• Assist with project handovers following successful tender awards.
