Job summary

Future Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Estimator for a folding carton packaging role in the North West region of England.

You will produce quotations on a full-time basis using a bespoke estimating system, providing accurate cost estimates for tenders, projects and enquiries in collaboration with sales and production teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' estimator experience in packaging, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of print and packaging industries;

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an estimator in packaging.
• Experience with cartons is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials and market dynamics.
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates
• Analyse job specifications to determine production approach
• Calculate material costs, labour, and time for each project
• Source and negotiate supplier prices
• Maintain records of estimates and costs
• Update estimating software to ensure current data
• Collaborate with sales and production to ensure timely pricing
• Present proposals and sales contracts
• Deliver excellent customer service and client retention
