Job summary

Qualifications

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in EC&I engineering or related fields.
• Experience with minerals processing industry and EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Power and Energy systems.
• Specialist expertise in at least one Electrical, Control or Instrumentation discipline.
• ECSA registration is advantageous.
• Experience with engineering design tools and software is beneficial.

DRA Projects is seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join its engineering team in Woodmead.

This senior technical role supports concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, EPCM and EPC projects, with responsibilities spanning design engineering, technical and site support, commissioning, documentation and handover, client liaison, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Role Overview

As a Senior EC&I Engineer at DRA Projects, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards, technical accuracy, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage detailed EC&I engineering designs, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure all discipline designs comply with DRA standards, client specifications, industry best practise, and relevant legislation.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines to facilitate seamless integration and project delivery.
• Review and verify technical information received from vendors, contractors and consultants to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute discipline-specific input into feasibility studies, proposals, and project planning.
• Provide engineering support to site construction teams, ensuring technical issues are promptly addressed.
• Participate in and support commissioning activities to ensure successful project handover.
• Manage red-line drawing updates and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support management of EC&I project resources, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Oversee engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-feasibility (PFS) and definitive feasibility studies (DFS) through to execution.
• Liaise effectively with clients and discipline engineers to ensure all technical requirements and specifications are met.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech Engineering qualification
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in EC&I engineering or related fields
• Proven project engineering experience, preferably within the minerals processing industry
• Demonstrable experience with EPC/EPCM project implementation
• Strong technical knowledge of:
