Job summary

DRA Projects seeks an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer for its Woodmead engineering team. This senior role covers concept through execution on EPCM and EPC projects within minerals processing, providing design leadership, site support, commissioning and handover.

You will lead multidisciplinary interfaces, ensure compliance with standards, and liaise with clients and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech qualification.
• 10+ years of EC&I engineering experience.
• Experience within the minerals processing industry and EPC/EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage detailed EC&I engineering designs, ensuring technical excellence.
• Ensure all discipline designs comply with standards, specifications and legislation.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines for seamless delivery.
• Review and verify technical information from vendors, contractors and consultants.
• Contribute discipline input to feasibility studies, proposals and planning.

DRA Projects is seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join its engineering team in Woodmead.

This senior technical role supports concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, EPCM and EPC projects, with responsibilities spanning design engineering, technical and site support, commissioning, documentation and handover, client liaison, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Role Overview

As a Senior EC&I Engineer at DRA Projects, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with standards, technical accuracy and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage detailed EC&I engineering designs, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure all discipline designs comply with DRA standards, client specifications, industry best practise, and relevant legislation.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines to facilitate seamless integration and project delivery.
• Review and verify technical information received from vendors, contractors and consultants to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute discipline-specific input into feasibility studies, proposals and project planning.
• Provide engineering support to site construction teams, ensuring technical issues are promptly addressed.
• Participate in and support commissioning activities to ensure successful project handover.
• Manage red-line drawing updates and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support management of EC&I project resources, schedules, budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-feasibility (PFS) and definitive feasibility studies (DFS) through to execution.
• Liaise effectively with clients and discipline engineers to ensure all technical requirements and specifications are met.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech Engineering qualification
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in EC&I engineering or related fields
• Proven project engineering experience, preferably within the minerals processing industry
• Demonstrable experience with EPC/EPCM project implementation
• Strong technical knowledge of:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Control Engineering
  • Power Systems
  • Energy Systems
• Specialist expertise in at least one of Electrical, Control or Instrumentation disciplines, with working knowledge of the others
• ECSA registration is advantageous
• Experience with engineering design tools and software is beneficial
