Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Employment Lawyer to lead its employment law practice in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will advise SMEs to large corporations on all facets of employment law, manage complex disputes, and provide strategic counsel.

Qualifications

Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in employment law.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
Ability to manage a demanding caseload and lead a team.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of employment law including contracts, disciplinary processes, dismissals and retrenchments.
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures for compliance.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and litigation before CCMA, Bargaining Councils and Labour Courts.
Advise on collective bargaining, trade union relations and strikes.
Conduct internal investigations and advise on employee grievances.
Develop and deliver training sessions on employment law best practices.
Stay current with changes in labour legislation and case law.
