Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria-East seeks a Senior Software Engineer with a BEng in Electronic or Computer Engineering and 5–10 years of software engineering experience, including 2–5 years in team leadership. The role involves guiding a team across software, hardware, and test disciplines, with interaction with international clients.

A Master’s degree is beneficial. Candidates must be SA citizens and comfortable as the point of contact for international clients.

Qualifications

• BEng (Electronic or Computer Engineering) is required.
• Master’s degree is beneficial but not mandatory.
• 5–10 years working experience in software engineering is required.
• 2–5 years leading a software engineering team is required.
• Comfortable acting as point of contact for international clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineering team.
• Work in an Agile environment with other software, hardware and test engineers.
• Collaborate with international clients' engineering and project divisions.
• Oversee overall project planning and execution, including software development.
• Lead high-level design and design reviews.
• Develop ATPs.
• Oversee ongoing software and subsystem testing.
• Develop and integrate embedded digital communication software components.
