Job summary

A leading renewable energy firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide design oversight and technical assurance for renewable energy projects. The role entails preparing electrical designs, overseeing bid deliverables, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and grid codes. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in renewable energy projects, and a strong knowledge of South African Grid Code. Proficiency in power system software and AutoCAD is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with a BSc/BEng or 4 years with a National Diploma in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience on renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Compile electrical cost inputs for financial models.
• Produce electrical bid deliverables for tenders.
• Liaise with external electrical engineering consultants.
• Oversee and support site acceptance testing.
