Job summary

SENET in Johannesburg is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop, coordinate and execute electrical deliverables across project phases from concept to handover. You will design, specify, and review SLDs, cables, and equipment sizing within a safety, quality, and client-focused framework.

The role requires 5 years of electrical engineering experience, EPCM or project-based delivery, and registration with ECSA or in progress.

Qualifications

• BSc / BEng / BTech in Electrical Engineering required.
• ECSA registration (PrEng/PrTechEng/PrTechniEng) or in progress.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience in mining/minerals processing or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Experience in EPCM or project-based delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to engineering design criteria and philosophies.
• Produce and review SLDs, schematics, and layouts; prepare MTOs and BOQs.
• Ensure deliverables are technically accurate, complete, and on schedule; apply IEC/SANS standards.
• Support procurement activities, including bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrumentation and civil disciplines for seamless integration.
• Assist with design reviews, site queries, commissioning, and handover.
