The role focuses on transmission and substation design, maintaining and improving infrastructure that carries high‑voltage electricity from power plants to substations and distribution systems.

The candidate will conduct studies, perform calculations, oversee construction, and handle procurement of electrical plant for large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• ECSA PrEng or PrTech or eligible for professional registration.
• 8 years’ experience.
• Procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.
• Sound experience in Electrical Transmission Design Practices.
• Substation construction and installation experience.
• HV and EHV Design / Transmission Design experience.
• Experience in commissioning electrical substations – adv.
• Experience in AutoCAD / MicroStation / CDEGS / ETAP / Digsilent, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission and substation electrical designs.
• Oversee construction and maintenance activities.
• Conduct studies, perform calculations and undertakings.
