Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a fully remote role, ideally based in or near Kimberley. You will lead the design and development of complex electrical systems, mentor junior engineers and drive key projects from concept to implementation.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge in analog and digital circuitry, PCB design, and DFMs, with global collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in electrical design and development.
• Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power management and signal integrity.
• Experience with simulation tools and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for new products and systems from concept to production.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections.
• Conduct design reviews, simulations, and analyses to ensure performance and reliability.
