Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Pr. Eng. status is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical system design and project engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP) and simulation tools.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (SANS, IEC).
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects remotely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design and development of complex electrical systems (power distribution, control panels, instrumentation).
• Produce comprehensive electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and BOMs using CAD software.
• Perform calculations including load analysis, fault currents, and voltage drop studies.
• Oversee project execution and ensure designs are implemented correctly and safely.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers remotely.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure satisfaction.
