Express Employment Professionals Midrand is assisting a client to recruit a Senior Diesel Mechanic with extensive hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing and servicing heavy commercial trucks and trailers. Based in Rosslyn, this role requires a trade-tested mechanic with 10+ years post-qualification experience.

The ideal candidate has strong auto-electrical fault-finding skills, expertise in air systems and trailer maintenance, and a willingness to work overtime as part of the standby

Qualifikationen

• Trade-tested diesel mechanic with a recognized trade certificate.
• Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience on heavy trucks.
• Experience with IVECO and Fuso brands is highly advantageous.
• Strong auto-electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Knowledge of air suspension systems and trailer maintenance.

Aufgaben

• Perform extensive repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and road-test vehicles.
• Repair engines, gearboxes, brakes and air systems.
• Attend roadside breakdowns within the region as required.
• Ensure workshop and field repairs meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist in standby roster and overtime as needed.
