A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Pretoria. The ideal candidate should have strong diagnostics and servicing skills, particularly with European truck brands. Responsibilities include performing repairs on heavy commercial vehicles, conducting major repairs, attending breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates must have a Trade Test as Diesel Mechanic and 3+ years of experience. This role offers a dynamic work environment within the workshop and field services.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ experience on heavy commercial vehicles, preferably European brands.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities (mechanical, electrical, electronic).
• Valid driver’s license (EC/Code 14 advantageous).
• Willing to work overtime and attend breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles.
• Conduct major repairs, including engine overhauls and gearbox repairs.
• Attend roadside breakdowns and perform field service repairs.
• Ensure all repairs meet OEM standards.
