Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Cape Town seeks a senior DevOps/Platform/Cloud Engineering leader to drive enterprise-grade CI/CD and platform reliability. You will own tooling strategy and govern SDLC/DevSecOps in regulated environments while mentoring teams and staying hands-on in delivery.

Key focus areas include Kubernetes platforms, migrations to Jira Cloud, and AWS/Azure with a focus on developer enablement to accelerate business transformation.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in DevOps / Platform / Cloud Engineering leadership.
• Experience owning enterprise CI/CD platforms at scale.
• Experience defining and governing SDLC and DevSecOps frameworks in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud, Azure DevOps and Agile testing tools, including configuration, integrations, workflow automation, access controls and support for migration from Jira on premises to Jira Cloud.
• 3–5+ years designing, operating, and governing Kubernetes platforms in enterprise environments (self-managed and/or managed services such as EKS/AKS).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of DevOps, cloud, and technical agility capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for the DevOps function while remaining hands-on in engineering delivery and platform operations.
• Develop and support automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and infrastructure services.
• Deliver technical expertise across AWS, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, DevSecOps tools, and developer enablement practices.
• Lead troubleshooting, platform support, incident management, and operational issue resolution.
• Provide technical leadership for the migration to Jira Cloud and ensure its effective integration with development and DevOps processes.
• Align DevOps tooling, delivery practices, and governance requirements to support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, security scalability, and developer productivity.
• Champion modern engineering practices and technical agility across the organization.
