Job summary

Zensar Technologies in South Africa is seeking an experienced DevOps professional for a 6 month contract (renewable) to enhance deployment and operation across CI/CD automation, container orchestration and observability. The role requires on-site work five days a week with shadowing of development teams to improve release and production reliability.

You will implement security and quality controls within pipelines, manage Kubernetes deployments with Helm, and optimize Docker-based workloads

Qualifications

• Experience in CI/CD automation and release pipelines.
• Hands-on with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Docker, Helm charts, and GitHub workflows.
• Exposure to observability tooling and security practices in DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps on Kubernetes using Helm.
• Support and optimize workloads with Docker and traffic routing via Ingress.
• Implement monitoring and observability to surface platform signals.
• Integrate security and code quality controls into delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment and operations.

Build better deployments. Solve platform challenges. Put your DevOps expertise to work across CI/CD automation, container orchestration and observability. In this role, you’ll work closely with development teams to improve how applications are deployed and operated, bringing security and code quality into the delivery process while tackling production issues hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

• 5 to 10 Years of experience required
• Bring release automation to life: design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Put your container orchestration skills into action by deploying, managing and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes using Helm Charts.
• Help containerised applications run effectively by supporting and optimising workloads using Docker.
• Keep application traffic flowing by configuring and managing Ingress Controllers and traffic routing.
• Turn platform signals into actionable insight by implementing monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Build security and code quality into delivery by integrating controls directly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with development teams to find better ways of working and improve deployment and operational processes.
• Get hands-on with technical challenges, troubleshooting and resolving production and platform-related issues.
