Job summary

Network Recruitment International is seeking a Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer to enhance the engineering ecosystem supporting the full product lifecycle. You will automate processes, implement best-practice requirements management, and ensure seamless integration across tools and platforms.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, support Agile/DevOps adoption, configure collaborative toolchains, and contribute to secure development practices across global teams.

Qualifications

• B.Eng. (Electronic/Computer Engineering) or Computer Science degree.
• Honours or Master will be an advantage.
• Experience in complex engineering/software environments recommended.

Responsibilities

• Drive the optimisation and standardisation of requirements management across engineering programmes.
• Establish traceability between requirements, design, implementation, testing and verification activities.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps technologies.
• Support Agile and DevOps methodologies across engineering teams.
• Configure, integrate and maintain Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory and related platforms.
• Develop automation scripts to improve workflow efficiency.
• Manage build environments, deployment processes and software release activities.
• Design engineering dashboards and reporting solutions for project insights.
• Support cloud deployments and containerised environments.
• Collaborate with global teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to cybersecurity compliance and secure development practices.

The Opportunity

As the Senior DevOps & Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the engineering ecosystem that supports the full product lifecycle. You will play a critical role in improving development frameworks, automating processes, establishing best-practice requirements management principles, and ensuring seamless integration across engineering tools and platforms. • Drive the optimisation and standardisation of Requirements Management processes across engineering programmes.
• Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, design, implementation, testing, and verification activities.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps technologies.
• Support the implementation of Agile and DevOps methodologies across engineering teams.
• Configure, integrate, and maintain development tools including Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and related platforms.
• Develop automation scripts to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Manage build environments, deployment processes, and software release activities.
• Design engineering dashboards and reporting solutions to provide project and operational insights.
• Support cloud-based infrastructure deployments and containerised environments.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to cybersecurity compliance and secure development practices.

Desired Experience

We're interested in professionals who have experience within complex engineering, technology, software, aerospace, defence, or product development environments.

You should have experience with

• Requirements Engineering and Traceability
• DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Engineering lifecycle management tools
• Automation and scripting
• Systems integration and software development environments
• Exposure to safety-critical development environments will be highly advantageous.
