Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead one or more large projects with medium to high complexity. You will shape project vision, planning and governance, manage budgets, risks and stakeholders, and deliver on time and within scope.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure quality, and mentor team members. Strong Agile and governance know-how, plus 6+ years of PM experience, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ project management experience in technology or business change.
• Minimum 5 years’ managerial/leadership experience in a delivery environment.
• Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/SAFe is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project planning, approve plans and ensure alignment with governance.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing and production readiness across teams.
• Define scop e, solicit requirements, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Identify risks and issues; implement mitigations and escalation as needed.
• Lead a project team and guide delivery across multiple teams.
• Provide project reporting and performance insights to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimize resource capacity.
• Prepare documentation and ensure smooth project closeout and handover.
