Placements24 is seeking a Senior Deep Learning Engineer in Pietermaritzburg for a hybrid role working on advanced DL projects, including vision, NLP and recommendations. You will design, train, and deploy state-of-the-art models and collaborate with researchers and engineers.

You will leverage TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras, manage large datasets, and optimize for performance and scalability while staying current with DL research and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD with ML/Deep Learning focus.
• 5+ years hands-on DL model development and deployment.
• Proficient in Python and major DL frameworks.
• Experience with cloud ML platforms and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and evaluate DL models across domains.
• Implement and optimize algorithms using TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras.
• Work with large datasets: preprocessing, augmentation, feature engineering.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to productionize ideas.
• Optimize models for scalability, efficiency and inference speed.
• Stay updated on DL research and industry trends.
• Write robust, well-documented code and models.
• Contribute to DL system and pipeline architecture.
