Job summary

MMS is a data-focused clinical research organization seeking a Senior Data Team Lead for a home-based role across South Africa. The candidate will manage the full data lifecycle from study setup to close-out, serving as the primary client and internal DM contact, with strong knowledge of GCP/ICH and FDA requirements.

Role requires extensive data management experience, SAS skills, and mentoring capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in data management with at least 3 years leading projects
• Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001/27001, 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, and GCP requirements
• Experience with data management systems, EDC, and trial data transfers

Responsibilities

• Oversee data management from study setup to close-out; main client and internal DM contact
• Ensure compliance with GCP/ICH and FDA regulations applicable to data management
• Mentor and train junior data managers; develop DM study documentation
• Coordinate CRF tracking, data entry, external data integration, and data validation
• Lead DM project initiatives and produce study tracking and metrics reports
• Coordinate UAT and cross-functional collaboration to meet timelines
• Maintain DM processes, SOPs, and tools; drive process improvements
