Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a fully remote role focused on renewable energy. You will design, develop and deploy advanced ML models for predictive maintenance, energy forecasting, and performance optimization across solar and wind assets.

You will analyze large-scale sensor, weather, and grid data; translate business needs into DS solutions; build data pipelines; and communicate insights through compelling visuals while mentoring junior data scientists and staying current

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (CS/Statistics/Data Science/Physics).
• 7+ years hands-on data science and ML experience, preferably in energy.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Expertise in SQL and big data tech (Spark, Hadoop).
• Proven ability to develop and deploy predictive models in production.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, data mining and ML algorithms.
• Strong data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
• Excellent problem solving and remote collaboration skills.
