Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement predictive models for energy demand, supply, and market pricing using machine learning techniques.
• Analyze large, complex datasets from various energy sources (e.g., grid sensors, market data, weather patterns) to identify trends and anomalies.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of new strategies or technologies.
• Collaborate with domain experts, software engineers, and product managers to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity for robust analysis.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant focus on the energy sector or similar complex systems.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and proficiency with data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy machine learning models into production environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
